Perfluorinated Ion-Exchange Membrane for  Electrolysis

Cation exchange membranes are selective membranes of cations, usually sulfonic acid type, with immobilised groups and cleavable ions. The cation exchange membrane can be regarded as a kind of polymer electrolyte. Since the positive membrane is negatively charged, although the original dissociated positive ion is dissociated into the water by the action of water molecules, it is energized by the electric field outside the membrane and is positively charged. The cations can pass through the positive film, while the anions cannot pass because of homosexual rejection, so they have selective permeability.
Membrane SY-14P10 are reinforced membranes based on chemically stable perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) copolymer. Incorporation of the PTFE mesh reinforcement improves the mechanical property of the composite membrane and allows the membrane to restrict its swelling. The membranes show significant improvements in features such as better resistance to chemical attack and longer operating durability under electrolyzing cell conditions.

Applications:

The Ion-Exchange Membrane SY-14P are widely used in chlor-alkali industries for NaOH and KOH, electrodialysis,brine electrolysis,Hydrogen production by electrolysis of water,recovery of copper from etching solutions, synthesis for gold potassium cyanide , chlorine dioxide generator, and electrochemical reaction for amino acid. The membrane performs as a conducting separator and solid electrolyte in a variety of electrochemical cells which require the membrane to selectively transport cations across the cell junction.

Continuous Roll: 800mm width and 680mm with continuous roll
